blog » Travel Tuesday ~ Sigtuna, Sweden
In continuing with my "all that is gold does not glitter theme" today's Travel Tuesday feature Saint Olof's Church ruins in Sigtuna, Sweden.
Sigtuna was the capital of Sweden for nearly 250 years. This church was built in 1164. It was one of the most amazing places I have ever been to. It was so beautiful covered in snow.
But not only that, just thinking about the history of the place gives me goose bumps still. The amount of people who walked through the doors of that place... the things that the church has seen. It might not look like much, but it is truly a breathtaking place.
